Easter 2016

I'm trying to catch up on a few posts I wanted to put up after Breaker was born but never had time. Today...

Breaker's 1st Easter!

Getting ready for church.

My family got in town the day before Easter, so we got to celebrate with them.

Easter is my favorite Christian holiday, because of what it means.  I wrote this on my Instagram:

An egg hunt!

New mercies

If I'm being honest, I'm not sure "the 4s" are going to be my favorite. My mom always said people always act like the threes are the hardest but they have nothing on the fours. Earlier this week (in an effort to not stay at home for days at a time) I for some reason thought it was a good idea to take all 3 kids to the mall by myself to meet a friend and her kids. It ended with me carrying Shepherd kicking and screaming out of the mall, while pushing a stroller and praying my two year old continued following us out the door instead of acting like his usual crazy self.

Last night I was laying in bed with Shepherd, trying to get him to go to sleep. I was giving him extra attention because I felt bad that all week we'd been having a battle of wills. I have to constantly remind myself that I need to share my calm, not join in on his chaos. And I fail at that way too often.

Anyway, I was asking him questions and practicing how high he could count and talking about our day. I asked him how old he was. "19." "Oh no, you're not 19.  If you were 19 I'd be crying all day because you'd be big and wouldn't live with me anymore." When I said that my sweet boy started crying real tears at the thought.

Later that night my mom sent me this (someone's FB status):

I am so thankful for the promises in Lamentations.

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
His mercies never come to and end;
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness."
 Lamentations 3:22-23

His mercies are new each morning.

Everyday 2016 :: 9

April 10:
My sleepy guy turns 1 month old and just couldn't stay awake for his photo shoot.

April 11:
The first day I was home the entire day alone with all 3 of them...also the day the boys decided to climb to the top of the jungle gym for the first time. I just knew someone was going to fall and break something.

Breaker hanging outside watching his brothers. There is ZERO shade in our yard.

April 12:
I don't know why but I'm obsessed with this picture. He is so precious.

April 13:
Caity and Pop Pop got to town for their visit! I stole a picture from Caity's snapchat.

April 14:
It was gloomy and rainy so we went to the mall to get out of the house.

April 16:
Antelope Island!

April 18:
Took Caity and Don into downtown to visit Temple Square.

April 19:
A picture Shepherd took of Breaker. I love seeing pics he takes from his point of view!

April 20:
He loves him SO much.

April 21:
This looks like a calm, peaceful moment. Looks can be deceiving ;)

April 22:
Sometimes I take a million pictures of them in a row when they're being extra cute. I finally convinced him to let me put his hair up. We were going for a man bun, but he was too squirmy and impatient. So cute!!

April 23:
Another day another photo shoot. Love his sweet dimple!

April 24:
Took him out for some one on one time. I love this shirt!

A baseball game!

Tuesday night we got to go to a Utah Bees game. Joey's work has a suite and it was his departments turn to use it. Shepherd remembered the kids train from the last time we went and that was what he was most excited about!

Gorgeous view!

Bee outfit for his first baseball game!

The boys enjoyed all of the drinks and food and Major was absolutely filthy. I think he ate 8 slices of watermelon.

Such a fun night! I love getting out and doing fun things with our little family!

Random ramblings

This is so fitting for me!

Me as a mom:

When I was having to pump, Shepherd was so excited to get to give Breaker a bottle.

Snapchat face swaps. Is there anything more terrifying?! A serial killer and the scariest man child you'll ever see:

I also found this terrifying. Shep wanted to face swap with Thomas.

Shep in 20 years :(

The cutest little koala:

When I leave them loose so I can talk to my best friend on the phone for 20 minutes:

I'll spare you all of the pictures I sent to my mom, but is this not the nicest grocery you've ever seen?

I know it was weeks ago but can we all relate to this after Lemonade?!

No shame in my game.

I love KKW memes.

Who's excited!!! 3 more days!
